Stunningly Realistic “Wood Drawings” by Singaporean Artist Ivan Hoo

When I was a kid, I absolutely loved to draw. Really, what kid doesn’t like drawing, painting, and being creative? It’s not until later that we realize not everyone can make a living as an artist. The crushing disappointment sets in, and the drinking begins. Shortly after, suicide.

I’m kidding! I mean, no, that probably happens all the time, but not with artists like Ivan Hoo. No, he’s way too talented for that. Check out this artwork that he does on wood panels using pastels, charcoal, and ink.

Pretty amazing stuff, right? If you’re interested in seeing more of his work, head over to his Tumblr page and have a look around. I’ve included only a very small sampling of his fantastic artwork, and I think you’ll find many of his other pieces just as impressive.
