Skin Care advice for Men this Summer

Summer can be a brutal time for skin. Sure, winter can dry your skin out and the wind can make it red, but in summer you sweat a lot and are out in the sun a lot and that’s a lot to put your skin through. While some people naturally have really good skin, some have a hard time keeping it looking smooth, hydrated and non-oily. So to help you keep your skin in tiptop shape for these remaining summer months, we’ve compiled some tips to help you achieve that.

Wash Morning and Night

Usually in winter you can get away with washing your face just one time a day if you must, but in summer you really can’t. With all that sweat you can easily clog up your pores and that’s only going to make your skin break out. It’s best to wash twice a day to avoid this and the best part about face wash is there are so many different options so you’ll always be able to find one that works for you.

Neutrogena Men Invigorating Face Wash is great for those with dry skin and for those with oily skin, Ubrian Clay Face Exfoliant is great because it gets rid of all your dead skin ce.ls and absorbs all the excess oil.

Don’t Over Shave

If you like a clean cut look that’s great and you don’t need to complete stop shaving if you don’t want to, but it’s a good thing to keep in mind if you have some stubble or a beard, it can help protect your skin from the sun and UV rays, which can be very damaging in more than one way.

In addition, not shaving gives your skin time to heal so if you can go a day or two without it would be beneficial. If you’re not interested in going a day sans shave, then make sure you’re using the right moisturizer after to nourish it the best you can.

Use SPF Moisturizer

Sunscreen is just as important during the summer months because if you get burned you not only increase your chances of skin-related issues, but your skin will also become leathery with age, which isn’t a nice look.

If you’re not going to apply sunscreen every day, it’s a great idea to have an every day moisturizer with SPF in it, that way you’ll always be somewhat protected against the sun’s harsh rays.

Summer skin care doesn’t need to be vastly different to your regular every day routine, you just need to be conscious of what you’re putting on your skin and doing your best to rid it of all the day’s grossness.
