I really have no interest in cleaning up the poop of my future children and I certainly don’t want to be picking up a pile of crap a dog leaves behind. It’s actually one of the reasons why I have never been a dog owner. I once walked a dog for a friend and it dropped a heavy on the lawn of one of the homes in the neighbourhood. I had never walked a talk before and I didn’t have a bag on me so I did what any newbie dog walker would do….book it home and made sure nobody saw me in the process. Whatever, I helped fertilize the land.
Picking up after your dog is one of the responsibilities that comes with being a dog owner, especially if you live in the city. I’m not a dog owner but I can see how taking a dog out for a walk and picking up its shit can become very annoying. If collecting your dog poop doesn’t really interest you then perhaps the Modko Shake Dog Potty is the answer to your worries.

The device is made out of plastic and you can place it right outside your front door. You train your canine to use the Modko Shake Dog Potty when nature calls. To clean it, you fold the device to close it. There is an opening where you can fill it with water and cap it off. Give it a nice shake, and take off the side cap to empty the contents into your boss’s coffee cup…or a toilet. Whatever works for you.
I wouldn’t really know but I feel that using this device is probably more disgusting than actually using a plastic bag or some scooping device. After you shake the dog potty and empty the contents there is still going to be chunks and residue left behind. No thanks!! I agree with you that scooping away a dog turd is way less disgusting than making a poopshake and stomaching the smell if pouring it out somewhere.
I’m pretty sure even if they take a crap on there you’ll want to pick it up before closing the thing and shaking it. I see this being useful if you can train your dog to use this as his bathroom when you leave him home for a while. Then when you get home you can pick up the turd from this thing, and pour the piss, rather than cleaning up an “accident” on your carpet.
Much easier to train your pup to use this rather than take himself for a walk.
