Last year I wrote about the luxurious Startech Land Rover Defender 90 Yachting Edition, that post was extremely popular but there were a few people whining about why someone would make a luxury Defender; I said, WHY NOT! I personally loved that Defender and am a big fan of the Vilner tuned Land Rover Defender pictured above.
The Land Rover Defender is one of the toughest SUV’s one can buy but it lacks in the luxury department; if you are a true Unfinished Man, you’ll know the importance of luxury, even in the most rugged vehicles. That was the thinking a Russian business man had, he must be a regular Unfinished Man reader, he wanted his Defender to stand out from the crowd and provide him with true luxury that one would find in a Range Rover, so he commissioned Vilner to do up his Defender.
Vilner took on the challenge and gave the Defender an entirely new interior that’s covered with miles of Napa leather and Alcantara; they installed extra sound-deadening material to give the vehicle a true luxury feel. A new infotainment system was added with a 15” LCD screen and a DVD player, a 600 watt audio receiver was added, and LED lights are used in the instrument panels. The interior looks amazing with the orange and black leather and I prefer it over the Startech’s interior, this seems more user friendly.
The exterior gets massive fender flares that give the Defender an even more menacing look, the Vilner Defender looks like it means business and is ready to take on any challenge. A custom front brush guard and snorkel finish off the rugged look.
Up until this point, my favorite SUV was the Mercedes G-Class with the Defender in a very close second place but looking at this tuned Defender, I think I might have to give the Defender the number one spot, I just love this thing!!!

What’s the size of those tires? i suppose 255 85 r16?
