Romain Jerome Steampunk Chronograph Watches

Romain Jerome is known for making some very unusual watches, like the Titanic DNA (with metal from the Titanic) and the Moon Dust watch (with real moon dust).  The Swiss watchmaker has just added 5 new watches to their Titanic DNA/Steampunk Chronograph line; with a hint of color to brighten them up.

The Romain Jerome Steampunk Chronograph color watches also come with metal from the Titanic; these watches come in 5 colors (yellow, orange, red, blue, and green) and are limited to 99 pieces in each color.  The watches are priced at a cool $15,950 each; I know that’s a steep price, you might check out these guys for something a little more affordable.

These new watches are based on the Steampunk Metal watches, released a few years ago, but they feature a much cleaner design.  The bezel doesn’t have any texture on it and is made out of polished steel, giving it a much more appealing look than the original.  The added colors also give these watches a sporty look; the color is applied to outer ring on the dial, on the crown, and on the stitching on the black leather straps.

These watches come in 50 mm cases and are covered with AR coated sapphire crystal on the front and sapphire crystal on the back.  The watches are powered by the RJ001CS caliber automatic movement with 42 hours of power reserve and are water resistant to 30 meters.  Via: Romain Jerome
