The Real Life “Shishkebab” Flaming Sword from Fallout 4

Strategically speaking, if you’re going to fight someone, what’s the point of a flaming sword? If you ask me, you would probably hurt yourself more than you would the other person. I guess a hot blade might be able to cut through something much better, but then would not you rather have a heated sword than a sword with some flames coming out of it? Even the flaming sword in Fallout 4, Shishkebab, doesn’t do a whole lot of damage to your enemies.

Having said that, it looks really cool. I think that’s what flaming swords should really be used for: scaring people and feeling like a total badass. Just take a look at the “Shishkebab” flaming sword that Make’s Caleb Kraft put together. Are you not frightened? A little envious perhaps?

If you are, in Make’s video, Kraft describe how he made the sword utilizing an igniter from a propane barbecue grill, a can of butane, and a brake handle from a motorcycle. Even so, probably best that you not try this at home. Please don’t build your own flaming sword. Be safe and admire Kraft’s work instead, or simply play more Fallout 4.

If you’re playing Fallout 4 and haven’t found the Shishkebab flaming sword in game, watch this video.
