Rain by Stacee Kalmanovsky: A Solid Storm For Inside

We’ve covered a lot of interesting and wacky art installations here, but occasionally we actually do find neat, normal stuff like Rain, a permanent storm for indoors by Stacee Kalmanovsky. As an artist working out of Florence, Italy, Stacee creates striking paintings and hanging installations.  Stringing hundreds of crystals on clear line and suspending them under a glass ceiling, it almost appears like you’ve walked into a frozen moment in time where the raindrops have stopped mid flight so you can walk among them.

I really like the idea of this installation, simply because it’s a great way to bring a bit of the outside in, and to use crystal in a different way than an awful overblown chandelier. I was thinking of how cool this would be with different colors of crystal- maybe an amber color for a beer fountain. Then I realized you would have a permanent golden shower in your home, and I figured that I should leave this stuff to the pros. It should also be noted that she’s pretty good looking in her own right, so I can’t really argue on any counts. Stacee Kalmanovsky has a website to feature her works, but it’s been under construction for a bit, so you can check out her stuff on her Behance profile.

Author, Designer, and "that girl your mother warned you about." Looking good seems to be my job, whether it's working with the site design, or a number of other more interesting capacities. I have a ridiculous sense of humour and a brutal sense of honesty- you'll see a lot of that coming through in my writing, so don't say I didn't warn you if I somehow manage to offend you AND hurt your feelings at the same time. On the plus side, it makes my dating and advice columns a lot more pertinent to an unfinished man in the real world.
