Protect Your Cats and Mice With Armor by Jeff de Boer

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in the medieval days?  And instead of humans ruling the world, its mice and cats that are the rulers and our knights and kings?  And instead of human knights doing battle, the war takes place between mice and cats?

Well, neither have I.  On the other hand, Canadian artist Jeff de Boer, who seems to have a very vivid imagination, did wonder about all the questions above and created an entire lineup of armor specifically designed for cats and mice.  The armors range from gladiators and samurais to full blown shinny knight suits.

Now I know no one is actually going to put these armors on their cats or mice and send them off to battle and rip each others’ heads off because that would create a big mess and the armor would get bloody and not be as shinny anymore.

The armors are, of course, for decoration purposes (at least I hope that’s what they are for) and range in price from $500 to $2,000 each and would be a great decoration/conversation piece in any room in the house.  The armor pieces are beautifully crafted with amazing attention to details.  Jeff spends anywhere from 10 to 40 hours on a mouse armor and 50 to 100 hours on a cat armor.

If I had the money (or if Jeff decides to send me a few “sample” armors ;)), I would definitely decorate my living room or my man cave with these awesome armors.  These armors would also make a great gift for “the man who has everything”, that is, if you can afford it.

Also note, no mice or cats were injured in the making of the armor suits.  Unfortunately the same can’t be said about Jeff, he has been scratched on several occasions by cats while he attempted to put the armor on.
