The Pocket Shot – Slingshot 2.0

The slingshot has been around for over a 150 years and in the hands of a skilled user can be used as a hunting weapon to take out quail, pheasants, rabbits, and squirrels. Traditionally, slingshots were a DIY (do-it-yourself) item made from a forked branch to form the “Y” shaped handle and rubber strips to fire stones, lead musket balls, small nails, buckshot, and steel ball bearings. The Pocket Shot, which looks nothing like a traditional slingshot, is indeed a capable slingshot. It really lives up to its name “Pocket Shot”, its tiny size makes it pocket friendly without compromising the efficiency of shooting.

The Pocket Shot shoots great, is fun and amazing. It’s faster than other slingshots I have used and possesses a deadly speed so it must be kept away from children as they may hurt themselves considering the serious power it generates. My father used to have traditional Y shaped slingshot, which was good but I find this one the best. It requires a bit of practice though to adjust your hand and mind co-ordination, especially if you have been using traditional ones. I did struggle a bit in the beginning however after practicing I have now mastered the technique. When I was a child, I used to practice almost 50-100 shots every day to get to the level where I have now become a beast of the clan.

I have been using 5/16 and 1/4-inch steel slugs with the original black band since the start and have gone through my entire inventory. The black band is still intact, strong, and powerful. The black pouches are rated at275 feet per second and you should be able to go through 500 shots before replacing the pouch. Blue pro pouch, rated at 300-350 feet per second, is still to be used and I am sure it would add more power when put into usage. The blue pouch is supposed to be good for up to 400 shots before needing a replacement pouch. It’s a really handy item to be used for outdoor activities and adventures. This pocket shot simply adds more fun to our excursions.

It has a water tight cap to accommodate the ammo so no need to carry them in your pockets anymore. Pouch replacement is fairly easy too, simply unscrew the two rings with the cap and install the new one. It’s very neatly designed product that would tick most, if not all, boxes for novice user to killer shooter. Shooting accuracy again depends upon level of experience and varies from person to person. Adoptability is the key, adopt fast, and you will get most out of it. I would definitely recommend this modern, cool, and affordable Pocket Shot because it works great and I guarantee you would never go back to any other traditional slingshot. The Pocket Shot is 100% Made in the USA and the price starts at $25.
