Omega Speedmaster Grey Side of The Moon Watches

The Omega Speedmaster Grey Side of the Moon is the latest watch from the Swiss watchmaker whose watch made it to the moon and they don’t want you to forget it. The watch is identical to the Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon; of course, featuring different colors (grey here).

Both watches are based on the Omega Speedmaster caliber 9300 series watches; the Grey Side of the Moon watches come in 44.25 mm grey ceramic cases. The ceramic cases are made out of one piece of ceramic that started life white, the cases have been heated for three hours in a plasma torch chamber at 20,000 degree Celsius to give them the grey finish.

The watch features a platinum dial, giving it the grey look of the moon’s surface. The dial layout is pretty simple with 12 hour indices, a pair of subdials at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions, and the date window at the 6 o’clock position. The watches come with tachymeters scales on the bezel and dark grey leather straps with light grey stitching on the front and red stitching on the back. Via: Omega
