Not a Good Look – What Women Don’t Want to See You Wearing

Let’s be realistic, you can’t appeal to everyone all of the time, particularly when it comes to fashion. Women have vastly differing fashion tastes, and by the law of averages you’ll get a handful of women that would go wild and get naked for a man in sandals and socks. So does that mean it’s OK to dress badly? Well…number one – do you really want to appeal to these women? And, more importantly, number two – do you want to repel the rest (i.e. the vast majority) of the female population while you’re at it? If the answer is no then take a look at some fashion mistakes you need avoid.

Personality is key – but there are limits

It would be pretty boring if everybody sported the same threads. With that in mind, I’m not saying there’s a list of rules on what you “have” to wear to attract a woman. Your personality needs to be reflected in your image, and on top of that, if you’re really uncomfortable in an item of clothing then your confidence may take a dive.

Personally, it takes quite a significant fashion faux pas for me to even notice what a man is wearing. However, one thing is for sure – there’s creative, there’s personality… and then there’s crossing the line. Cross the line and you’ll be noticed by the ladies for all the wrong reasons.

Sandals and socks

I’ve already mentioned it…but what’s the deal with sandals and socks? Sandals are designed for hot weather, to cool your feet and wear on the beach. By wearing socks with them it totally defeats the object, in which case just wear shoes!

Perhaps it’s for the comfort factor, or maybe it’s to hide a pair of atrocious looking feet…either way it will put off most women from looking your way.

If you’re into casual shirts, great, but do yourself a favor and pop a few buttons.

Casual shirts buttoned up to the top

Maybe it’s just me but casual shirts rarely look good buttoned all the way up, unless you’re super-fashionable or gay. It seems to be all the rage at the moment, but is it a hit with women? Not with the women that I know at any rate.

So be a man and show a bit of chest hair!

Dressing out of season

You often see shy men wearing jeans or trousers in the baking hot sunshine. This reeks of low confidence, which is a real turn off for women. If the idea of shorts fills you with dread then opt for extra long shorts, cotton trousers or combat trousers.

Remember – pasty, ridiculously hairy or even chubby legs will give you a better chance than looking like a pussy.
