At the moment, the F12berlinetta is the fasted Ferrari currently being offered by the company until something uber exotic comes along like the Enzo. Until then, clients will have to settle for the 730 horsepower Ferrari F12berlinetta. But if settling is not an option, perhaps Novitec Rosso might the company you would like to have a word with.
Although the 6.2-liter V12 produces 730hp and an impressive 509 lb-ft of torque, there is always room for improvement. The German tuner came up with a kit to that slightly improves the power output as well as change the aesthetics of the vehicle.
Novitec’s package kit for the F12berlinetta includes adjustments to the mapping for the fuel injection and ignition to help increase power from 730 to 753 horsepower. And peak torque at 6,300 is now at 518 lb-ft from the 509 stock. The changes to the ECU have also helped increase the redline to 8,900 rpm which has resulted in the top speed increasing from 211mph to 214mph. No details on whether the 0-60mph has been improved or not.
Novitec also makes changes to the suspension setup with springs that lower the ride height of the F12berlinetta by 1.6-inches and an available lifty system for the front axle allowing the car to raise the front end also by 1.6-inches in order to avoid poor road conditions or perhaps speedbumps with the push of a button.
Other exterior changes include a new set of wheels with 21-inches up at the front while 22-inch wheels at the rear. All four corners are wrapped in high-performance Pirelli tires. The interior is also treated to minor modifications carbon-fiber ship paddles as well as Alcantara and leather components.
The car in stock form is sexy as is and I’m not too sure if the 23 horsepower is actually worth the money. People like The Stig are the only drivers that would notice these types of changes. Meh. Look, if a company such as Ferrari could squeeze another 23hp out of this car without sacrificing something major, they would have. Most of these tuner companies commit the automotive equivalent of “bad touching” on their subjects for the benefit of idiots with too much money. I seriously doubt any of them actually “improve” the cars, with the exception of RUF, and even they have some monstrosities in their past to answer for.
