Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe

When Mercedes-Benz introduced the updated version of the C-Class (W204) in 2007, I fell in love with the car the moment I laid my eyes on it. The smooth lines and aggressive look was night and day difference compared to the previous generation.

For 2012, Mercedes has improved upon the look and also introduced the Coupe version. It was a matter of time before AMG got their hands on the all new 2012 C-Class.

The all new C63 AMG Coupe will be unveiled at the New York Auto Show next month. Power is generated from a 6.2L V8 that punches out 451 horsepower and 453 pound-feet of torque to help launch the C63 from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, it is mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed transmission. The C63 is electronically limited to a top speed of 155 mph. One more option is also available through AMG which sees the horsepower increase to 481 hp and reduces the 0-60 mph time to 4.3 seconds.

With added horsepower, great handling comes hand in hand. Luckily AMG hasn’t forgotten about that small little detail by adding new suspension, a wider track in the front and rear, high performance braking system, and bigger wheels and tire package. The interior has also been tweaked to set it apart from the C-Class Coupe.

No pricing on the all new C-63 AMG Coupe but we think it won’t be too far off the previous C63 AMG.
