Leatherman Tread: A Wearable Multi-Tool Bracelet

There not too many types of jewelry items a man can wear, a watch fits the bill and maybe a masculine bracelet like the Rogue DZN Armadillo 161. However, there is a new type of bracelet, coming soon, that not only looks pretty masculine but is actually very useful, as it contains tools.

The Leatherman Tread is a bracelet that consists of multiple tools, which act as links in the chain of the bracelet. The bracelet can be equipped with different types of tools, depending on the user’s anticipated needs. It comes with box wrenches, screwdrivers, hex drives, glass breaker, and many more; for a total of 25 interchangeable tools.

The idea of the wearable tool came when Leatherman’s president, Ben Rivera, was visiting Disney Land and was stopped at the gate by security for carry a Skeletool, which they wanted to confiscate. After the park, Ben came up with the idea of the Tread wearable tool, he started wearing a bicycle chain around his wrist to get a feel for the upcoming tool, and the rest is history.

Leatherman is also going to offer a watch version of the Tread tool; the bracelet and the watch will be available in the fall of 2015, no word yet on pricing. Via: Leatherman
