Kuchofuku Air-Conditioned Cooling Shirts and Pants

Yesterday was officially the first day of summer and in many parts of North America, the hot weather arrived many weeks ago. Although summer is my favorite season, the heat does get to me from time to time – especially when my daily driver for the summer is a car from the 1970’s.

The folks over at Kuchofuku have come up with the crazy idea of having a air-conditioned cooling system in a work shirt and pants. The Air-Conditioned Cooling Shirt features two cooling fans which are capable of moving up to 20 liters per second at full speed. Simply clip the fans to the back of the shirt along with the AA battery pack and enjoy the cool breeze along your back and arms. Besides the benefit of cooling down in the heat, you can probably also cut glass.

Kuchofuku Air-Conditioned Cooling Pants

The shirt is made of Polyester, comes in seven sizes ranging from ‘S’ to ‘5L’, and will set you back $183. And the Air-Conditioned Pants will keep your boys nice and cool although there may be a good chance of getting some shrinkage. The battery-powered fan hangs on the outside of the pants and it’s not supposed to be bulky or add significant weight. The pants are made from 65% polyester and 35% cotton, are available in a simple green, and come in four sizes ranging from ‘M’ to ‘XL’. The pants cost a bit more than the shirt at $209.
