When I was a child (and for many of my teenage years), I obsessed over the all powerful yo-yo. I would spend hour after hour practicing, and the result was that I was just slightly better than someone who hadn’t used a yo-yo before. Clearly, the world yo-yo championships were not in the cards for me.
Thankfully there are talented yo-yo masters, and this video of Canadian national Champion Jensen Kimmitt winning the 2010 World Yo-Yo contest (while Gorillaz blasts in the background) shows that love and dedication to great effect. Yes, Jensen’s yo-yo skills are something you’ll have to see to believe.

I’ve heard people describe Canada as the awkward step-brother upstairs who is playing video games while America is downstairs banging a hot broad. Perhaps that’s true to some degree; Canada is (supposedly) full of polite and humble people, but we also have people like Jensen Kimmit the yo-yo master who can not only yo-yo like nobody’s business, but probably reel a girl as well.
