iCoo Acrobat Stroller Plus iGuard35 Infant Car Seat Review: Does it Meet Family Demands?

This travel system is touted as a top performer by the company and online reviewers, but does it meet the hype? Here is a genuine review of the iCoo Acrobat Stroller and iGuard35 Infant Car Seat, from the viewpoint of a new dad.

About iCoo
Firstly, some background on the company iCoo. If you are not familiar with the name, iCoo is a part of Hacuk, which offers to-of-the-line baby gear and cutting-edge fashion. So, our expectations were high right from the start for the child travel system. Let’s start with personal thoughts on the iCoo Acrobat Stroller.

Features of the iCoo Acrobat Stroller
The iCoo Acrobat Stroller has an impressive appearance. It features a great color combination that is aesthetically pleasing and looks fancier than a traditional black stroller. Plus, it has a real leather seat, which gives the item a luxury quality, rather than the traditional plastic. Choose from copper or black matte for the frame.

What is Included
the travel system comes in a box which includes the stroller body, wheels x 2, handle, car seat, foot muff, car seat adapters x 2, canopy and rain cover (this is great as usually you would need to order the rain cover separately).

This luxury stroller weighs only 20.5 pounds, which is really lightweight! I like that it can go easily with me and folds to fit into my car trunk. I don’t have a van, by the way; I have a hatchback. So, yes, it will fit into most vehicles. The measurements, when folded, of the Acrobat, are 26inches long by 19.6inches wide by 13.4inches high.

The leather seat is reclinable, but it does not lay flat, giving the baby a comfortable ride, especially when the little one wants to nap. This seat is designed for a little one up to 50 pounds; it is 14.5inches wide with a 17inch-high back.

The padded five-point buckle of the strap provides excellent security for junior, especially when he is resting back in the seat. In other words, we’re not worried about him accidently falling out of the seat and getting hurt if he tosses in his sleep. You can remove the leather bumper bar if you want to.

Along with the seat being adjustable, the handle and footrest are too. Change the handle from 35.5inches to 40inches to achieve optimal comfort. Our previous stroller did not have this feature, and now we would never go back; my wife is shorter than me and when she pushes the stroller she wants the handle lower than when I’m at the helm. It is easy to change the height to accommodate both of us.

Foldable
Also, both my wife and I can fold the iCoo stroller, which has been a challenge in the past for her when we tested competitor models. I am impressed that she can fold it with one hand, which she sometimes have to do when putting the stroller into the car trunk when she’s out alone with our son. While she has one hand holding him, the other hand folds the stroller. Easy!

Great Breaking & Movement
My family is happy with the braking system too. The one-step break is located behind the wheels. Plus, the wheels can rotate all the way around the front wheels are bigger than the back ones (7.5 inches for the front and 6 inches for the back), which makes it easier to maneuver around things. And the front wheels have two round reflectors, which helps make it easier to see the iCoo stroller easier to see at night.

Storage
As for storage, the compartment located under the seat is similar to that of the most competing strollers. A little more space would have been great from an upscale stroller like the iCoo Acrobat. But, we can still fit our diaper bag in there. We just would like to fit more than that, is all.

There is also a pocket on the back of the seat that you can put your wallet, keys, and phone into; it’s where we keep all of our go-to items when we’re out. This pocket has a zipper to secure your necessities inside it.

Canopy: The Good and Bad
I like being able to lower the canopy when baby needs protection from the sun, rain, and other elements, as well as having the option to unzip the canopy when I want to remove it.
While there is a rain cover, unfortunately, it is hard to fit in the storage basket under the seat. Especially when the diaper bag is already there. So, I don’t have a place for the cover once it stops raining if I’m out and about with my little guy.

Two Recommendations
We do miss a feature about our last baby stroller: the adult cup holder. It would be great if I had a place to put my travel coffee mug when I’m on the go. I like having a caffeine fix, especially if the baby didn’t sleep through the night. My last stroller had the cup holder connected to the handle.

Also, it would be great if the seat could be reversible. It’s nice to have the option of looking at our little one as we walk.

Converts into the iGuard35 Infant Car Seat
I left what I consider the best feature of the iCoo Acrobat Stroller to last. It converts easily into the iGuard35 Infant Car Seat!
The seat is meant for babies between 4 and 35 pounds. It’s great not having to go from one piece of baby equipment to a totally separate second one to get baby into the car; the transition is more streamlined with this travel system.

Travel System: The iGuard35 Infant Car Seat
In my opinion, the car seat, which is convertible from the stroller frame, looks great and is very functional too. The iGuard35 car seat is as elegant looking as the Acrobat stroller; both items are sleek and modern. I have had many compliments from friends regarding the look of the car seat. It is a rear-facing seat that is well-designed, as you can tell from its features, listed below.

Lightweight Car Seat
The infant car seat is only 21 pounds, thanks to its clever combination of lightweight synthetics and aluminum. It is less clunky and lighter than the last one we had in my family. It is designed for a child between 4 and 35 pounds.

Easy to Use
The iGuard35 easily transfers from the stroller to our vehicle, making for easy transitions as I go about my day. Our family is on the move, and this car seat meets with our demands well, just like the stroller does for the most part. The infant seat measures 29.2inches long by 23inches wide by 19.9inches high, which fits well within my car.

When installing the car seat, it’s convenient that it is compatible with both 2- and 3-point belt systems. It comes with latch connectors for securing the car seat, although you can also put in the seat without the base. We are considering getting an additional base too (the iCoo ProSafe35).

Safety is Given Attention
As a dad, of course, I want my child to be safe, whether in the car or elsewhere. In the car, I feel confident using the iGuard35 seat because the 5-point harness can be fit to the body for a secure fit. It offers great protection, not to mention having built-in padding that makes for luxurious support when we’re on the go in our vehicle.

Did I mention the seat also has sun protection and side protection? Thumbs up to iCoo for the safety features.

Air Travel Approved
While our family hasn’t gone yet on an airplane, we appreciate that the car seat is approved for air travel. It would be horrible to get to the airport and not be able to take it on the plane with us. That would put a wrench in our plans, for sure.

The Price Consideration
There is no doubt that the iCoo travel system is a high-end item and this is reflected in the price, however if you do decide to splurge a little you can be sure that you are getting the Cadillac of strollers and in my opinion definitely worth the price!

Conclusion: iCoo Acrobat Stroller Plus iGuard35 Infant Car Seat Review
While the iCoo Acrobat Stroller does have some limitations, it still gets a high rating from me, as a new dad. The stroller is lightweight and foldable yet still has many of the features that our former full-size stroller had. Plus, I feel proud to be pushing my baby in this gorgeous (albeit pricey) stroller that has great color and real leather for components such as the seat and handle. It’s easily foldable so we can take it with us in the trunk of our vehicle, and it easily converts into a travel system with the iGuard35 Infant Car Seat making convenience its most appealing feature. You can find the iCoo travel system on amazon or other online stores.
