I Hired a Psychic to Help Me with Online Dating and Here’s What Happened.

My online dating history has been filled with various ups and downs – the excitement of meeting someone with potential on Hily, followed by the disappointment of discovering some personality trait that I can’t live with (or worse – their discovery of some trait in me that they don’t like!).

After my last frustrating incident with online dating, I decided to try something new. I decided to an online psychic for help with my love life.

I don’t really believe in psychics, astrology, or Tarot Cards, or numerology. It’s not so much that I absolutely don’t believe it works – it’s more that I think it’s very difficult to prove if these things exist or don’t exist conclusively in either direction – so I just try to keep an open mind.

I do have an underlying belief that humans are able to only perceive a very small part of the world around them and that there is probably a lot we are not aware of as a species.

For example, humans can only see a tiny part of the spectrum of light (called the visible spectrum) which corresponds to a wavelength range of 400 – 700 nanometers. Anything outside that range still exists, but we cannot perceive it. Gamma rays, X-rays, ultraviolet radiation, infrared radiation, microwaves, and radio waves all exist beyond the visible spectrum that we can perceive. We’ve been able to build instruments and devices that measure and take advantage of some of these imperceptible wavelengths and frequencies (such as radio signals, cell phones, etc.)

The same is true for hearing, for taste, and our other senses. Outside of our senses, it’s true for physics, human psychology, the human body and brain, and much more. There is a whole lot that we don’t know or understand. I always try to keep that in mind, and thus was open to speaking to a psychic about myself and my dating past, present, and future.

However, meeting a psychic online and having her provide me with a forecast of my future, along with a frank discussion of my past dating history was not only entertaining, it was also surprisingly insightful.

The conversation (by phone) was very smooth and easy flowing. I felt comfortable almost immediately.

The conversation started with me talking a little about myself, my dating history, my online profile, and the things I look for in a woman. We also discussed some of the people I’ve rejected in the past as well as those who’ve rejected me.

Using her psychic powers of insight (or perhaps just human psychology), she was able to help me figure out certain patterns that emerged in my dating history and how to become more open minded. What I learned is that I reject people way too quickly and that some of the people I’ve met in the past may have been a better fit for me than I gave them credit for.

She also predicted that I’ll go on several more dates with people I ordinarily would reject, and will meet an incredibly special woman later this year who’ll have a deep impact on me for a long time.

While only time will tell if her predictions are true, I think the experience was really valuable nonetheless. It pushed me outside of my comfort zone, got me to try something new and unorthodox, and gave me a little insight into my own behaviors and patterns.

  1. This is fucking unbelievable! What an utter load of horseshit. Psychic nonsense. What an absurdly ludicrous piece of trash journalism. This website is descending into the quagmire of crap that thrive online.

    • I really like the idea of trying random things like that – I think it’s fun, takes you out of your comfort zone, and is basically harmless. I’ve never been to a psychic, but I’d be open to trying basically anything and having fun with it.

      • There is nothing remotely fun or harmless about being conned by a charlatan who has about as much `psychic’ ability as my faecal matter! Encouraging such nonsense is irresponsible and frankly stupid.
