Fourth Of July Decoration Tips

With the Fourth of July coming up in just a matter of days it’s time to start thinking of your decorations if you haven’t already. The good news is it isn’t too late and there are still some great ways you can liven up your home for our patriotic holiday. Most of these items can either be made, ordered on Amazon Prime or in most grocery stores or craft stores.

Festive Flowers
One of the best things you can do for the Fourth of July that’s super easy is to buy red, white and blue flowers. There are so many options out there that making a bouquet with those colors is so incredibly simple and will add such an elegant touch to your July Fourth decorations.

Paper Pinwheels
If you’re feeling crafty, you can actually make these Fourth of July pinwheels yourself, but if not you can totally buy them instead. You can stick them in the grass, put them in a glass or just lay them on a table for people to pick up when they arrive for a barbeque or party.

Flag Bunting
These large, semi circle flags are popular Fourth of July decorations for a reason. They’re really easy to put up and take down and they look awesome. They immediately add a festive feel without really needing to do too much and without spending a lot as well. Combine these with maybe one other decoration and you really don’t have to do more than that if you don’t want to.

Food
Sometimes the best decorations can be food like a flag cake or cupcakes, a fruit cake with a flag made of frosting, blueberries and strawberries or even parfait with yogurt and fruit. Not only will they look great but people will love them.

Place Settings
Getting paper plates that are Fourth of July themed is so easy as they can be found in really any local store you have, as well as napkins and cutlery. This is again such a simple way to really make your home seem festive without needing to put a ton of work into your decorating.

Repurpose What You Have
Do you have white, blue or red cushions or covers? Get them out! You can always take them away easily when the day is over. Wrap any ribbon you have around bannisters or doorknobs in red, white or blue. Just bring out anything you have in those colors and get rid of things that are large in other colors if possible. While it won’t obviously be a Fourth of July theme, this combined with one or two other things will turn your home into a big festive place.

Planning for the Fourth of July doesn’t need to take hours or days, just a few simple additions to your home can brighten it up and put everyone in the celebrating mood.
