Father’s Day Wine – What’s The Perfect Wine for Dad?

Wine is one of my absolute favorite beverages. In fact, I actually wrote an ode to wine a few years back after I “discovered” wine. I had been in the camp that beer trumped all, and that wine was simply not for me.

Fortunately, I learned the error of my ways.

But I’m being selfish right now. This article isn’t about me, it’s about my father… it’s about all our fathers. It’s about father’s day wine, and choosing the perfect wine for Dad this Father’s Day. You haven’t forgotten about Father’s Day, right?

Seriously, though, do you have any idea what wine your father likes? I don’t, which may be a sad reflection on myself, but in my defense, I’m never very observant. That’s why I’m so glad Vivino came up with this handy wine quiz to help me choose something really special.

Here’s how it works: you answer a series of questions about your father, and at the end of the process, Vivino generates a series of wine recommendations based on your input. It’s a pretty elegant way to get discover new wines (I’m using it for myself as well, because I’m selfish) and they even have a wine app to make this easier on the go.

My usual method for picking wine is to close my eyes, spin around three times, and choose something with a nice looking label. That’s actually worked surprisingly well, but fathers’ are important and deserve a little bit more care and consideration when it comes to choosing a wine.

To all the sons and daughters reading this, I hope you find the wine app as useful as I have. To all the fathers out there, I hope you have a fantastic Father’s Day filled with family, good food, and of course… good wine.
