Don’t Cater to Dad this Father’s Day – He Wants to Cater to You!

OK, so it’s that time of year again. This year it’s June 19th (in case you’re STILL not organised). By now you may be rushing around frantically trying to find a present that you haven’t purchased in the years before – and let’s face it, it can be quite the challenge, and also one that all too often ends with the purchase of an obligatory bottle of aftershave.

Here I let you in on a secret: that the ideal present may well be something you’ve never before considered.

The BBQ: The ultimate test for the Hunter-Gatherer

Guys: we love our tools, and there may be no better a demonstration of the Hunter-Gatherer’s aptitude than a good old BBQ. I often wonder just how many domestic arguments have been played out over a Barbie that wouldn’t take, or cooking that wouldn’t complete owing to lacklustre flames (I, for one, probably count for around 5 at least – one for every summer since I started BBQing for my family).

Now this is all pretty well known to most of us – and it seems that some research has actually confirmed all of what I knew already: that the ideal pressie for father’s day is something that allows him to cook up a storm for his family.

You can read about this research right here

Win, Win, Win

This research has laid it all out and answered the immortal question of what to buy us dads for the ultimate present. In short (if you’re too busy looking for a present to read the link above) Napoleon Grills have found that Dads most want to be at home, grilling for their family.

Seriously, could this year’s present be any better? It’s an easy purchase that doesn’t come with a price tag that could buy a Ferrari and it’s everyone else off the cooking hook come Father’s day Sunday.

Oh, and that’s not all – the same piece of research also found that kids who learned to cook on the grill through their fathers were better than those who learned any other way. Pretty neat, right?

The Napoleon Prestige PRO 665: The Ferrari of the Grill world

Getting back to the fact that most of us guys have a real thing for gadgets I now look to the Napoleon Prestige PRO 665. This grill is the ultimate guy cooking tool. It’s the fastest and hottest grill out there. Full stop. This baby comes in at $2,899.

Now Napoleon also do other grill offerings, including the Napoleon Rogue 425 (that packs a real punch in a smaller grill package) at $999, and the Napoleon Travel 285 (a seriously compact, portable and powerful grill) at $329.

So, whatever your budget, I think that Napoleon has you covered for what will be your best Father’s day present yet!
