Dock Street Walker – Beer For The Zombie Apocalypse

I’ve never been much of a beer drinker but having one on a hot summer day sure feels good. Now we’ve written several articles in the past on various beers as well as some of the hard liquors but the Dock Street Walker is probably one of the most unique beers I’ve seen. The Dock Street Walker is an American Pale Stout that’s brewed with wheat, oats, flaked barley, organic cranberries, and you of course you can’t forget the smoked goat brains! That’s right, beer with brain!

The beer is the creation of Dock Street’s head brewer Justin Low and their brewery representative Sasha Certo-Ware who are huge fans of AMC’s The Walking Dead. I love that show so you can’t blame them for taking advantage of their industry and coming up with such a cool product.

The Dock Street Walker beer also happens to have a blood red hue but that color comes from the organic cranberries, not from the goat brains as well as providing a slight tart flavor. I’ve had curried goat brain in the past and it was pretty damn delicious but I really am curious about the taste of brain and beer mixed up. According to the company, the goat brain provides intriguing and subtle smoke notes (probably because it’s smoked goat brain).

The Dock Street Walker beer is 7.2% alcohol by volume and available for $12.50/pack of six. For more information about their beers, check out the Dock Street Brewing website. Imagine drinking that beer with actual chunks of brain?
