Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 is Either Very Sexy… or Very Terrifying

Do you guys remember Dead or Alive 3 for the original Xbox? Team Ninja released this way back in 2001, and if I’m being perfectly honest with you, it was one of my absolute favorite games at the time. Maybe I just really enjoyed the fighting, or maybe I was just a little perverted, but I practically wore out the controller playing the game.

It’s now almost 2016, and you know what? I haven’t played a single Dead or Alive game since then. The series has existed only in the periphery for me, but I’ve noticed a few trends over the years: the characters are more sexy with each Dead or Alive release. I would hesitate to say that the boobs and booty are getting more realistic, but the fidelity is definitely being amped up. More jiggles, better skin textures, you name it. But here’s the thing…

The women are absolutely terrifying!

I mean seriously, just look at their eyes. Those dead, zombie like eyes staring back at you. So while Dead or Alive may be as sexy as ever, the characters faces are truly haunting. This collection of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 images should convey my point pretty well.

I think it’s safe to say that Dead or Alive is well into uncanny valley territory, and right now the characters seem a lot more dead than they seem alive. Perhaps that will improve as these guys continue to churn out games each year.
