Cyberpunk 2077 “Militech Crusher” Replica by Volpin Props

A few months ago CD Projekt Red – the development studio that created one of my favorite game franchises of all time, The Witcher – released a brand new trailer for their latest and greatest game, Cyberpunk 2077. It was awesome, you should watch it (video below), and I couldn’t possibly be more excited to play it.

Fast forward to this morning, and I wake up to discover that someone (well, a few someones) actually made a real, physical prop for the Militech Crusher auto-shotgun shown off in the trailer. How cool is that?

But first, the trailer…

Before we go any further, do yourself a favor and check out this Cyberpunk 2077 trailer. I’ll leave it at that, and if you’re interested in reading my ramblings about it, you can do so right here.

Awesome, right? I’m guessing you noticed the giant, bad-ass looking shotgun too, but I’ve included a photo below for reference anyway.

The Militech Crusher Replica You’ve Been Waiting For…

Here it is, and here’s what I can tell you about it. The Militech Crusher replica was created by Volpin Props in Atlanta. It’s made out of 13 individual pieces, and took roughly 3 weeks to complete. Also, it looks amazing.

So on that note, here’s the digital version we saw from the trailer…

And here’s the super awesome looking replica that Volpin came up with…

In case you’re wondering, yes, those really are chromed 20ga rounds that you see in there.

Unlike Dr. Crusher, I have a feeling the Militech Crusher doesn’t do a whole lot of healing. No, I have a feeling she would only use this to put people of their misery.

So, I think the question on everybody’s mind is: when is someone going to turn this into a real gun? I mean, a gun of the “can actually fire” variety? If you happen to know of anyone attempting it, please leave us a comment below with more information. Really, someone just has to make this thing.

If you’ve seen any other awesome Militech Crusher replicas, or really any other replicas of Cyberpunk 2077 guns, please let me know about those as well! Now that the game has finally released, I’m betting a ton of people are working on this kind of thing.

  1. I think that cyberpunk guns in many cases trend opposite actual military firearms. To use the U.S. as an example, the M-16 is a 5.56mm firing rifle, while the M-14 before it fired a 7.62mm cartridge, and the M1 Garand of WW2 fired the even larger .30-06 cartridge. In the pistol category, the Colt M1911 chambered in .45ACP has been replaced by the much lighter Beretta M9 chambered in 9mm. The Crusher here is a pistol chambered in a respectable shotgun shell size! Good luck keeping your wrists intact when firing.

  2. I own a shotgun with a pistol grip. It’s a Mossberg cruiser in 12 ga. It doesn’t break your wrist to fire it. Granted, it’s a pump shotgun, not a semi auto, but a 20 gauge with a pistol grip should be just fine to fire for a trained cybernetic officer. Also, Volpin makes outstanding props. One of the best around.

  3. Make sure you check your local laws before you ask a gunsmith to make this thing a reality. It’s almost certainly illegal if you live in major metropolitan area. You might be able to own it elsewhere, but that would come with some pretty heavy taxes and regulations. Just make sure you know what you’re getting in to.

That being said, I’d love to own one, haha.
