Considering CrossFit? Here’s What a Typical Workout Looks Like

We’re big advocates of good health and fitness here at Unfinished Man. Getting exercise is especially important as we get older, not just because it helps us live longer, healthier lives, but because obese people are terrifying. I’m not joking, they make me very uncomfortable.

So with that being said, we encourage any kind of exercise that gets you fit. I like rock climbing and gymnastics, some people like cycling, and then there’s CrossFit. Maybe you’ve heard of it… maybe you’re even thinking about giving it a try. If so, then perhaps you’ll be interested to see what a typical workout looks like.

This is what a CrossFit workout looks like…

It took me a while, but I’ve finally uncovered footage of the shadowy underworld of CrossFit training. After the video, I’m going to show you one weird trick a grandmother of 6 used to put on 20lbs of lean muscle in two weeks with absolutely no supplements!

You know what worries me a little? That you’ll actually believe this is what Crossfit training is like.

I wouldn’t have posted the video, but seriously… I laughed my ass off when I watched this, and I didn’t want to deprive you of that joy. Besides, I’m sure some people really do train like this, CrossFit or not.

Here’s the thing, I know you probably have heard of CrossFit. In fact, I bet you’ve heard a lot about people getting hurt and doing stupid things. So I’m going to tell you a little secret: people are idiots. People get hurt because they’re stupid and don’t listen to instructions. Even when they do listen, shit happens, people aren’t always perfect. That’s not an excuse to sit on your ass all the time, though.

Don’t be an idiot, but please make sure to get some exercise. I wasn’t joking when I said we really encourage it here. I also wasn’t lying when I said I knew one weird trick, no grandmother involved though. Are you ready? Get some fucking exercise. You won’t gain 20lbs of lean muscle in two weeks unless you’re a genetic freak, but… I promise you’ll be well on your way to a long, healthy life.
