Comfortable, High-Quality, and Affordable? I Love This New Shirt

I’m not one to rave about clothes. In fact, because I hate shopping for clothes, I try to do most of my shopping online.

Buying clothes online is a crapshoot, though. I literally mean that. I’ve ended up with some pieces of clothing that were pieces of crap. From shirts that don’t fit right (“Why would these sleeves be so LONG?”) to pants that faded after just a couple of washes, I’ve found that it’s hard to judge style and quality when shopping for clothing online.

Which is why I was happy to discover swrve. Their mission is to create clothes that look great, are durable, and are completely comfortable. Add to that the fact that their prices are reasonable (given how well the clothes hold up) and I was immediately sold.

Well, partly sold. I still needed to try out my first piece of swrve clothing. I opted for their Modal L/S Classic Henley long-sleeved shirt in a slate blue that I thought would look nice. The price was right: not so inexpensive that I feared for the quality, but not a bank-buster for a piece of clothing.

When the shirt arrived, the first thing that struck me was how good it looked. I tried it on and it felt great: seamless armpits and an overall cut that was stylish, but loose enough to allow for my active lifestyle (not scaling mountains, but hiking local trails and biking around town quite a bit). The great thing about the Modal L/S Classic Henley is that it can go straight from a fall morning dog walk in the woods to having a nice lunch with friends and fit in at either place.

A few of the other things I’ve noticed that make this shirt different than the rest? They thoughtfully put in no-itch labels so I’m not constantly scratching the back of my neck all day. It also features a drop tail hem in the back, so when I bend over to clean up after my dog, I don’t flash the entire neighborhood with my (if I must say so) fine specimen of a derriere.

The shirt was soft (being 60% cotton and 40% Modal), and I was pleased to see that it came out of its first few washes looking just as good as it did the day I received it. So far, so good! I’m looking forward to ordering more items from swrve. I think I may have found my new clothing brand.
