Our modes of transportation are ever changing and we continue to see new innovations year after year. The Belt Scooter is a unique take on portable transportation. As part of a graduation degree project in industrial design, Adam Torok of Hungary, came up with a unique concept of a belt that turns into a scooter to get you from point A to point B. As long as your pants stay on, it looks like a great way to get around campus between classes.
Wouldn’t it be an interesting sight to see someone take their belt off and use it to scoot off into the distance? Not many details are available about the project but the belt it made from iron, plywood, and what looks like nylon straps. A prototype is said to be in development but don’t be surprised if it never makes it to the market place. We do know the Belt Scooter weighs in at four pounds which might defeat the purpose of a belt!
Although a strange concept, the project should make you think about pushing the limits and re-purposing something from what already exists. If you have any questions about the Belt Scooter, you can contact Adam Torok at Behance.
Frame is too high off the ground and will not be comfortable to push. Also, the balance will not be good.
