Yes, you two can look like you stumbled out of a time travelers D&D event.
As mankind’s ability to create new and exciting technology races forward, so too does our ability to create seemingly simple items like clothing in new and efficient ways. It’s in that thread that I present to you… clothes… that look like… plastic… chain-mail?
I’ve never been a fan of shopping for clothes, at least in person. To any of my friends reading this, that news may come as some surprise. I have closets of meticulously chosen clothing, all having been decided upon after weeks of research. You see, I love the clothes, but not the shopping. I have a feeling that a lot of men feel as I do; that the end result (the purchase) holds much more satisfaction than continue reading →

40 years after winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans race for the first time, Porsche’s merchandising arm (Porsche Design) has released a limited edition watch called the P’6612 Dashboard Le Mans 1970 Limited Edition.
The 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans race was won by the Porsche 917 K driven by Hans Hermann and Richard Attwood. Not only did Porsche win the race but their cars also came in the 2nd and 3rd place, sweeping the podium.
The P’6612 Dashboard Le Mans 1970 Limited Edition watch face styling is based on the design of the Porsche 917 K’s dashboard instruments, hence the name. The face features the number 23 in a white circle at the 3 o’clock position, which was the number displayed on the winning Porsche 917 K. The watch face features a black background with white hour and red minute indicators. The hour and minute hands are painted white with luminescent material and the second hand is painted red. The watch features a tachymeter, designed to look like a tachometer, that can be used to measure speeds of 60 kmph to 300 kmph, traveled over 1 kilometer. The watch is also equipped with a chronograph, with the 30 minute counter at the 9 o’clock position and 12 hour counter at the 6 o’clock position. continue reading →

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in the medieval days? And instead of humans ruling the world, its mice and cats that are the rulers and our knights and kings? And instead of human knights doing battle, the war takes place between mice and cats?
Well, neither have I. On the other hand, Canadian artist Jeff de Boer, who seems to have a very vivid imagination, did wonder about all the questions above and created an entire lineup of armor specifically designed for cats and mice. The armors range from gladiators and samurais to full blown shinny knight suits.

Those of you familiar with luxury watch brands need no introduction to Chopard and their involvement in motor sports. In keeping with the motor sports theme and to celebrate Chopard’s 150th birthday and Alfa Romeo’s 100th birthday, Chopard have released a line of watches to honor Alfa Romeo. The Alfa Romeo Chopard watch line includes two wrist watches and a table clock.
The two wrist watches are the Gran Turismo Alfa Romeo and GT XL Chrono Alfa Romeo (available in stainless steel or black steel). Both of these watches come in a 44 mm diameter case and are 14.36 mm thick, and are water resistant to 100 meters. The watches are equipped with a chronometer-certified (by COSC), self-winding automatic movements that beat at 28,800 vibrations per hour. The watches feature a 46 hour power reserve and have sapphire crystal on the front and see-through back. Only 500 of each model will be produced. continue reading →
As a former sport bike rider and a fan of the Iron Man comics and movies, I just had to review the Mark V Iron Man leather motorcycle suit. Now you can look like a super hero and ride safely on your motorcycle, at a cost of $850.00, which is not too bad, considering a regular motorcycle leather suit goes for around the same price.
The Universal Design Iron Man suit provides the same level of protection as a regular leather suit but in style and you also get to have a glowing chest arc reactor. Unfortunately the suit doesn’t come with the cool looking suitcase shown in the pictures. To complete the Tony Stark look, riding boots and gloves are also available for $189 and $60 respectively. continue reading →

It’s only in the last decade or so that new clothing fibers (such as bamboo) have been gaining prominence in the world of fashion and clothing design, and now a UK based designer has taken this one step further with a new process used to generate clothing from bacterial cellulose. Yes, the clothes really are grown in large vats, and yes, they look creepy — almost like the skin of a decrepit old person.
The process, created by Susan Lee of the School of Fashion & Textiles at Central Saint Martins in London, allows for sheets of continue reading →

Of all the cool and unusual watches I’ve written about, the Horological Machine No. 4 Thunderbolt has to be the coolest and most unusual. The watch is made by Maximilian Büsser & Friends (MB&F), the same people that brought us the Horological Machine No. 3 Frog.
The watch has a very complex looking design and is designed to look like a jet engine. The HM4 Thunderbolt is a beautifully crafted piece of art and is sure to attract a lot of attention and compliments. The functional part of the watch (telling time) was designed with simplicity in mind; it uses the traditional hour and minute hands. The cylinder on the left has the power reserve indicator and the one on the right tells time. It took the MB&F team three years to develop the HM4 Thunderbolt. continue reading →

I'm Too Sexy For This Shirt, Too Sexy For This Shirt . . .
Thinking of hitting the town but don’t know what to wear? How about this hot new men’s see through T-Shirt from American Apparel? This shirt will make you stand out from the crowd and would go perfectly with a pair of skinny jeans and is only available in “Poop Brown” color.
This shirt will surely attract a lot of gay guys for the low, low price of $26.00 each. If you want the shirt for next weekend, you’re out of luck because it is currently backordered and that makes perfect sense because these types of awesome shirts don’t come along too often. Also, in order to buy one of these shirts, a mustache is mandatory.

Breitling is re-launching their Chronospace line, original line was produced in 1998. The new Chronospace watch is aimed at the professional aviator, but I’m sure a lot of non-aviators will be picking up this beauty.
The Chronospace comes with a 1/100th of a second chronograph, alarm, dual time zone with a separate alarm, countdown, 24 hour military time, a perpetual calendar and a slide rule. The watch is powered by a quartz movement, which might not make it too popular with the hardcore watch collectors.
Breitling Chronospace will be available in a variety of dial colors and wristbands. Wristbands will include a rubber strap for those who like to get their watches wet, a cool looking satin brushed woven steel (mesh looking) bracelet and the classic leather strap. continue reading →
After having played Splinter Cell: Conviction, I decided to scour the internet to find a real life version of Sam Fisher’s backpack. It looked to be both stylish and rugged, and practical for things like training Parkour, or just hauling beers to a party. I spent a few weeks researching potential sling packs and eventually stumbled on the Monsoon Gearslinger by Maxpedition. It looked to be exactly what I was looking for. I went and found a coupon code, placed my order, and patiently waited for it’s arrival. After having used the pack for a few weeks I can safely say that Sam Fisher would probably disapprove.

Before I explain why I wasn’t satisfied with the pack, I want to say that it does have a lot going for it. For one thing, the construction is of the highest quality. I have a feeling that I could throw it through a wood chipper and have it come out still resembling a backpack. The stitching seems to be strong, the aesthetics are pleasing, and whoever designed it really had the right idea in terms of pocket layout and webbing placement. Having said that… continue reading →
