What you see here is Triss Merigold, the red-headed magician we know and love from The Witcher. Notice anything unusual? Let me help you out – she’s in various states of undress, and featured prominently on the cover of an upcoming issue of Polish Playboy magazine. Based on the cover, I can just imagine what the full set will look like.
Seeing this picture was actually quite enlightening for me. For starters, I had no idea that Poland had their own version of Playboy – a version that seemingly deviates from the kind of stuff we get here. I haven’t browsed a Playboy magazine in many years (the internet has replaced that entirely for me), but I imagine that having a video game character on the cover is either rarely done here, or not at all.

If you’ve never had the pleasure of playing through CD Projekt’s The Witcher, you’re doing yourself a major disservice. The original game featured a deep and branching story arc, beautiful scenery, and incredibly fun game-play. The Witcher also had something that most games don’t; boobs… lots and lots of boobs.
Now CD Projekt is working on The Witcher 2, and if this scan from a Polish gaming magazine is any indication, it seems the team has ditched the “sex cards” in favor of something a bit more… visceral. I’m fine with that decision. The sex cards were well done and amusing to collect, and I think these in-game cinematics will be just as entertaining, if not more so. Perhaps there will even be controls for various sexual positions, or a thrust speed, etc. People in North America seem to get really bent out of shape when it comes to sex, and I’m glad to see a company that’s willing to create a game the way they want to do, without worrying about delicate North American sensibilities.
The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings arrived on PC on Tuesday, May 17th.
A guy needs guidance to become the weasel-smashing, beer-swilling, tree-chopping, bacon-eating speciman (you see what I did there?) that all fellows aspire to be. I’m a real fan of the original Portal game that Valve Software released back in 2007. Valve managed to create a game with a deep and interesting story, around a very simple game-play mechanic; namely, being able to create portals with a big futuristic gun and solve puzzles using said gun. Valve is back at it again, and they’ve released a very cute (and gruesome) trailer for their upcoming Portal 2 game.
I really enjoy the art style of the trailer, and it seems to feature Valves trademark dark humor. I’m really looking forward to seeing what they’ve pulled off with the sequel, especially in terms of the co-operative play. I envision many late nights of drunken Portal play with friends.
Portal 2 is slated for release in April 2011, and you can pre-order now on the official Portal 2 website.
It’s Valentine’s Day, and for most guys, it’s a terrifying venture into gifting and emotions and all the things that have the potential to really screw you over with a girl. When I first heard Rihanna’s new single, S&M, I couldn’t wait for the accompanying visuals. The lyrics are pretty damn racy, and she’s a smokin’ hot girl to begin with, so I was hoping for a ridiculous sex romp of a music video.
