Cars Illuminated – Light Painting and Fine Autos

Okay, okay- so I’ve been on a light graffiti kick lately, but can you blame me? Every day someone finds something even cooler to do with long exposure photos, and today is no different. Check out Cars Illuminated by Staudinger + Frankethey take gorgeous glossy black cars, and then flail around with a chain of lights like a man possessed. While it sounds more like a recipe for a smashed window and a butt load of scratches, their perfect control and photographic technique produces amazing images that highlight the lines of the car, and imparts a sense of movement to a parked vehicle. Who doesn’t want to imagine their Audi is doing the Kessel Run at 12 parsecs?

Plus, they photograph other things like this, and you can’t really argue with it (Seriously, don’t even try). Check out the rest of the series after the jump.

Author, Designer, and "that girl your mother warned you about." Looking good seems to be my job, whether it's working with the site design, or a number of other more interesting capacities. I have a ridiculous sense of humour and a brutal sense of honesty- you'll see a lot of that coming through in my writing, so don't say I didn't warn you if I somehow manage to offend you AND hurt your feelings at the same time. On the plus side, it makes my dating and advice columns a lot more pertinent to an unfinished man in the real world.
