Breitling Superocean Chronograph Steelfish Watch

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of dive watches currently available in the market; most of these watches are pretend dive watches that just look the part, rotating bezels etc. Then there are the real dive watches that not only look the part but can withstand being under water over and over again and performing like they should.

One such line of watches is the Breitling Superocean watches, and Breitling has recently added a new watch to this line called the Breitling Superocean Chronograph Steelfish, and it’s water resistant to 500 meters (1,650 feet).

The watch features a design that’s simple and in line with other Superocean watches; something that wouldn’t look out of place even if you’re not diving. The rotating bezel features numbers that are not painted or have a ceramic finish but rather rubber pieces imbedded into indents on the bezel. I’m not sure how long these rubber numbers will stay in place and how much it would cost to replace them?

Overall, the dial is pretty simple and clean looking; these watches are offered with black, blue, or silver dials with contrasting chronograph sub-dials. There are large hour makers and thick minute and hour hands with lume, and a day and date window at the 3 o’clock position.

The Breitling Superocean Chronograph Steelfish watches come with screw-down crown and pushers and feature double AR coated sapphire crystals. The watches are powered by COSC-certified caliber 13 automatic movements. The watches come in 44 mm stainless steel cases with stainless steel bracelets ($6,250) or rubber straps ($5,750 – $6,050).
