BMW Urban Racer Concept Motorcycle

We see concept cars all the time from the various automakers. It’s pretty much a bi-weekly or monthly event where we are shown vehicles which will get its 15 minutes of fame and poof, never to be seen again by the public. Seeing concept motorcycles on the other hand is not exactly a common thing. I suppose making a feasible design has its limitations when it comes to motorcycles and there is more “wiggle” room in designing four-wheel vehicles. The BMW Urban Racer Concept motorcycle is the creation of Jans Slapins, a London based 3D modeler.

This concept however is not an official BMW project. Unfortunately, it’s just Slapins sharing his work and probably hoping some big names may notice him and bring him onboard. His previous creation, the Lamborghini Rat Rod, went viral and got featured on Top Gear and in car magazines around the world.

Slapins did an awesome job at channeling BMW’s aesthetic appeal and bringing it into the design. The aggressive styling seen on the motorcycle is inspired by fighter jets (specifically stealth aircraft) and its 1200cc twin-cylinder boxer engine produces enough power to match the aggressive looks. The engine develops 115 horsepower which is plenty for this bike while its Brembo brakes help bring this crotch rocket to a halt.

The wooden fuel tank guards and diamond stitched leather seats are a nice luxurious touch and represent the BMW brand.
