The Best Clothing Commercial Ever, Period – Scruffs Hardwear

Given that I’m writer of the internet variety, it’s my duty to avoid hyperbole. That’s why when I say something is “the best evar!!!!”, you know it must be true. So on that note…

This Scruffs Hardwear clothing commercial is probably the best clothing commercial that I’ve ever seen. I can’t really say much about it without ruining the whole experience, but suffice it to say that you probably shouldn’t watch this video at work, or at least, not while your boss is around. But I bet you’re saying “Chad, isn’t this a commercial that was on television?” and you would be right, it was. The plot thickens…

Scruffs Hardwear Gets You…

More Facebook comments to your stupid cat and baby pictures? No, that can’t be it. More good friends? Well, uh, yeah… kind of? Yes, friends…

I don’t know how things work in Australia, but I can say with all sincerity that I’ve never experienced a work environment quite like that. Perhaps I was just wearing the wrong brand of clothes? Should have added a little Scruffs Hardwear to the mix I guess.

Now, having said that, there’s one thing in particular from this commercial that I never, ever, want to experience: cement pouring out of my penis. I’ve seen some messed up shit over the years, but that? Yikes man… no thank you! Pouring cement down a persons tailpipe is one thing, but this is something else entirely.

Is This for Real?

Amazingly, yes… this is actually an advertising campaign that was released back in 2010. It was directed by Lab Ky Mo, written by Pete Armstrong and Tom Richards, and produced by Godman – whoever that is. As I’m sure you’ve realized, the whole thing was supposed to be tongue in cheek, teaching tradesmen to deal with all the female attention they would receive from wearing Scruffs Hardwear.

Whatever the purpose, it’s a funny – but extremely offensive – commercial.
