Bang Bang Tents – With a Solar Panel For Charging Your Devices

Over the years I’ve gone from not being a fan of camping trips to enjoying them quite a bit. I didn’t enjoy it at first because in my very first experience there was no running water,  I had to bathe in a glacial fed lake which was so cold that it felt as if my balls were being crushed by a clamp, and I crossed paths with a bear. Taking a hot shower 3 days later in the comfort of my home was probably one of the best feelings ever.

As the years go by, camping grounds are becoming a bit more modernized and new technologies make camping a bit more comfortable. I don’t think I could ever go to a camping ground in a recreation vehicle like I’ve seen many families do but a little bit of modern technology is fine. Now we’ve written about a number of different tents with my favorite being the Coleman 8 Person tent because you can literally set it up in a minute. But here is another interesting tent which features a solar panel to power your mobile devices. Sure, camping is supposed to be getting away from all the modern things but do most people do that? I my experience, not really.

The Bang Bang Tent may not be the most attractive tent and have an interesting name, but I can see it being pretty useful. I wrote about the Eton Rukus boombox which was solar powered and had the feature of charging a mobile device and that thing came in pretty handy. So I know this Bang Bang Tent will be just as useful.

The tent features a 5w solar panel and a lithium battery for storage so you can stay connected even when out in the woods surrounded by bears and other wild animals. The tent comes with mobile phone/USB charging adaptors and you’re able to charge many low voltage devices such as mobile phones, cameras, speakers, LED lights, and mp3 players.

The solar panel for the tent slides into a pocket inside the rear of the tent with the actual solar cell facing out into direct light. Simply plug the solar panel into the power bank and let the sun do its thing. But it is recommended that before you head out, you should give the power bank a full charge via another source such as a wall socket or via a USB.

The Bang Bang tents comes in six “interesting” patterns/colors with just as interesting names for each color. Each tent will fit four people comfortably and its made of  high grade rip stop 5000HH grade waterproof polyester featuring PU coating. The Bang Bang tents are accompanies by a breathable polyester inner and double seamed 10000HH base. Each tent will set you back 249.95 GBP ($412 USD at today’s exchange rate).
