8-Bit “Subway Pixels” People… Portraits

As an avid non-driver, I’ve been on my fair share of public transportation.

Depending on your city of residence, public transportation such as buses or subway systems can be an excellent way to get around for cheap, while doing your part – however indirectly – to cut down on pollution and save us from a horrible water world filled with both water, and heavily mutated freak people with gills… who steal, and are mean. No one wants to live in a world like that, and that’s why it’s so important that we drive home the necessity of public transportation, even if it’s by “promoting it” though awesome 8-Bit pixel art like this small collection of pieces by artist Chris Pace.

Subway Pixels by Chris Pace

I know, it’s a bit of a stretch to say that these are promoting public transportation. For all I know, Chris actually hates it and drives around in a big, gas guzzling Hummer. Who knows? In all sincerity, I really just wanted to share this collection with you, because I think it’s pretty damn cool. So on that note, have a look, and we’ll meet up in a moment.

Is it just me, or does this fellow look a little like Milton from Office Space? He’s no doubt planning his next big, inadvertent heist.

I’m ending this set with my absolute favorite of this admittedly small collection. I really like this fellow’s outfit, and the entire little scene look fantastic in general. Great color choices here, Chris!

More Chris “Zombie Shotgun” Pace

I’m sorry to say, but this is it… I mean, at least for pixel art. I scoured Chris’ Tumblr feed for more, but came up empty handed. So if you enjoyed this as much as I did, let him know about it, and perhaps he’ll create a few more for our enjoyment.
