3 Of A Kind: The Lamborghini Veneno

Italian supercar maker, Lamborghini, had announced they’ll be bringing a very special car to the Geneva Motor Show this week, the show hasn’t quite started yet, but we got our hands on some leaked pictures of the car before its official debut.  The car is called the Lamborghini Veneno, and is an extremely limited production model; only three cars will be produced for some very lucky and rich customers.

The Lamborghini Veneno celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Italian raging bull brand, and is based on the Aventador LP700-4 supercar.  The Veneno, in typical Lamborghini fashion, features a design that look like it came straight out of a comic book.

The Veneno is powered by the same naturally aspirated 6.5 liter V12 engine found in the Aventador, mated to a 7-speed single clutch automatic gearbox.  In the Veneno, the engine produces 740 horsepower, that’s 40 more than in the LP700-4.  According to Lamborghini, the Veneno has a top speed of 220 miles per hour (354 km/h).

The basic shape of the Veneno is the same as the Aventador, but everything else on the car is extremely exaggerated.  The front features an all-new aggressive fascia, wide fenders, and a massive rear spoiler and diffuser.  If there was going to be another Batman movie, this would make for the perfect weekend car for Mr. Wayne.  Of course, he would probably have to paint over the Italian flag colors that will be featured on the doors of all three cars.

The Lamborghini Veneno is priced at £3.1 million, or about $4.67 US at today’s exchange rate.  Before you go summoning the devil to sell your soul, I have bad news for you; all three cars have been spoken for. Via: Lamborghini
