2015 Scion tC Release Series 9.0

Scion is a brand of cars produced by Toyota for the North American market and was originally geared towards “Generation Y”. I don’t know if that’s still their long-term goal but I can see their vehicles appealing to the younger crowds. To date, none of their vehicles have appealed to me except for the Scion FR-S which is also sold as the Toyota GT86 and Subaru BRZ.

In an attempt to make the tC coupe more appealing to customers, Scion will be releasing a limited edition called Scion tC Release Series 9.0 or RS 9.0. Jeremy Lookofsky, from Cartel Customs, played a role in the designing of the tC coupe which features a two-tone black and orange paint job along with custom work on the interior.

Scion tC Limited Edition

Scion will be keeping the tC Release Series 9.0 limited to only 2,000 units and all of cars will only be available in the black and orange theme. This limited edition also features an aerodynamics package which is designed by Cartel Customs, will feature a center exhaust system, a Smart Key with Push Button Start featuring the ‘Cartel Logo’, and even bright orange seat belts for passengers up front.

On the inside, the black and orange theme continues with orange stitching on the cloth seats and steering wheel as well as orange accents throughout the cabin such as door panels, dashboard, steering wheel, and vents. The black finish alloy wheels are only available on the RS 9.0.

Other finishing touches to make it more unique includes black gloss finish side mirror and door handles, TRD lowering springs, floor mats with the Cartel logo, and a raised lip spoiler. In terms of performance, there are no differences between this and a regular model. The 2015 Scion tC Release Series 9.0 gets its power from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 178 horsepower and is available with either a six-speed automatic transmission which features paddle shifters and Dynamic Rve Management system or a six-speed manual.

Starting price for the manual version is $23,190 while the automatic starts at $24,340.
