2012 Startech Jaguar XJL

I test drove the Jaguar XJ last year and it was one of the nicest large luxury sedans I’ve driven in a while.  It has great looks, good performance, and a luxurious interior.  German tuning firm Startech has taken two of those qualities and put their own spin on them.

The 2012 Startech Jaguar XJL’s upgrades include minor styling and interior improvements; the engine has been left alone.  Visual upgrades include a new front apron that incorporates LED daytime running lights into the front side vents, new trim for the front fender vents, rocker panels in front of the rear wheels, a small diffuser with integrated stainless steel exhaust pipes, and a subtle lip spoiler on the trunk.  The tuned XJL now rides on sporty 3-piece 21” wheels with beefy 255/35 ZR21 front and 295/30 ZR21 rear tires.

The interior has been upgraded with Alcantara and beige Mastik leather.  High-glass black piano wood has been applied to the door panels and the center console.  The rear passengers get custom made electronically deployed tables and have access to high speed internet via a 20 MBits/s GSM Modem.

Overall the Startech has done a nice job on the 2012 Jaguar XJL, keeping it simple and classy while making it more luxurious and a little sporty in the looks department.

  1. It’s so cheesy to have “Jaguar” written on the inside of the doors. I think the owner and passengers would know that. It’s a little much.
